a.  Those who have paid Rs.250/- already while applying for provisional certificates or along with examination fees from April 1991 August 2000  have to pay the balance amount from the revised fee as detailed above along with the following  additional fee.

b. Those who have paid Rs.500/- for Under Graduate, Rs.1000/- for Post Graduate & Rs.2000 for Higher Specialities/Ph.D from August 2000 to April 2008 have to pay the balance amount from the revised fee as detailed above along with the following additional fee.

c. Any candidate who had already applied to receive the Degree "IN PERSON" but failed to attend the convocation has to remit Rs.500/- as PENAL FEE for getting Degree/Diploma certificate thereafter from this University within a period of six months from the date of Convocation .  The Degree/Diploma certificate of such candidates will be sent by Register Post directly to the candidates.  In additional to the Penal fee of Rs.500/- the following additional fees have to be paid by them if such degree certificate are not obtained by the candidates within six months  from the date of respective convocation.

 d.  The fees once remitted by the candidate will not be refunded

 e . The following additional fees have to be paid by the candidates if they fail to apply for Convocation with in the stipulated period.

(i) NO ADDITIONAL FEE

      Candidates whose names are included in the Register of  Graduates and conferred  with Degrees/Diploma in the respective convocation and/or apply after the convocation within a period of six months from the date of convocation.

(ii) ADDITIONAL FEE OF Rs.500/-

        Candidates whose names are included in the Register of Graduates and conferred with Degrees/Diplomas in the respective Convocation and/or apply after a lapse of six months from the date of convocation and upto one year.

(iii) ADDITIONAL FEE OF Rs.2,500/-

        Candidates whose names are included in the Register of Graduates and conferred with Degrees/Diplomas in the respective Convocation and/or apply after a lapse of one year from the date of Convocation and upto 5 (five) years.

(iv) ADDITIONAL FEE OF Rs.10,000

      Application preferred, after a lapse of 5 (five) years.

 

 

 The prescribed fee should be sent by a crossed Demand Draft drawn on any one of the Nationalised Banks/Scheduled Banks in favour of  The Registrar, The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai payable at Chennai.  This should be securely attached to the application.  The fee can also be remitted in the I.O.B Extension Counter at the University premises and the Challan enclosed with the application.

  1. The above mentioned rate of University Administrative Expenses Fee is admissible for U.G. Courses consisting  of  sanctioned strength of 50 seats or less.  For additional sanctioned strength of every 50 seats or fraction therefore, 50% of the above fees shall be collected.

  2. The fees are to be paid to the University before 31st December of  every year.

       The fees prescribed above are subject to modification by the Governing Council from time to time. The above revised rates shall take effect from 01.04.2005

Interest Rate for the delay in the remittance of

           The Affiliation fee for the respective academic year shall be remitted by the affiliated Institutions before 31st October of the respective Academic year.  The University Administrative Expenses Fee shall be remitted by the respective affiliated institutions shall be remitted before 31st December of the respective Calendar Year.

Note:  If the above prescribed fees are not received by the University within one year from the date of demand, those institutions will not be considered for the grant of  continuance of provisional affiliation and the name of those institutions will not be included in the seat matrix also for allotment of Government candidates and also the defaulted institutions will not be permitted to admit students under Management quota for that academic year.

           The Fees prescribed above are subject to modification by the Governing Council from time to time
